Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you, or the business you represent (“you” or “your”), and KonectHosting, a brand operated by Konect Hosting (“KonectHosting”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). KonectHosting is part of Retail Marketing Solutions and the Konect360 family of services.
By creating an account, placing an order, or using any of our services, you agree to these Terms and to the policies listed below. Each policy is part of these Terms, and together we call them the “Agreement”.
- Privacy Policy
- Acceptable Use Policy
- DMCA Policy
- Server Maintenance Policy
- Support Policy
- Refund and Billing Policy
If you do not agree with any part of the Agreement, please do not use our services.
2. Who Can Use Our Services
You must be at least [18] years old and able to enter a legally binding contract to use our services. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that company.
You agree to give us accurate and complete information when you sign up, and to keep it up to date. We may refuse service, or ask for extra verification, if the information you provide looks incomplete, false, or fraudulent.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your passwords, API keys, and login details private, and let us know right away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
The account holder is the person or business named on the account. We will only make account changes, share account details, or transfer services when the request comes from the account holder or an authorized contact they have added.
4. Our Services
KonectHosting offers web hosting, WordPress hosting, managed and unmanaged VPS, virtual dedicated servers, bare metal servers, Odoo hosting, elastic compute, domain registration, SSL certificates, and a reseller program (together, the “Services”). The features, resources, and prices of each plan are shown on its product page at the time you order.
Every Service we provide falls under these Terms, whether it is paid, discounted, part of a bundle, or included for free. We may improve, update, or retire features over time. If a change takes away a feature you are paying for, we will give you reasonable notice before it happens.
Managed Services
On managed plans, our team takes care of server updates, security patches, monitoring, setup help, and troubleshooting of the server environment we provide. Managed support does not cover writing or fixing your own code, custom development, or third party software you install yourself, although we will always try to point you in the right direction.
Unmanaged Services
On unmanaged plans, you have full control of your server and you are responsible for managing it. That includes the operating system, software, updates, security settings, and backups. We keep the hardware and network running and can help with issues on our side, but we do not manage the software on your server.
5. Your Data and Backups
You own the content, files, and data you store with us (“Your Content”). We do not claim any rights to it, and we only access it when needed to provide the Services, give you support, keep our network secure, or meet a legal requirement.
Managed plans include daily backups. On unmanaged plans, backups are self managed and are your responsibility. Backups we provide are a convenience and are not a guarantee against data loss. We strongly recommend that you always keep your own copy of Your Content somewhere other than our servers.
6. Security
We use security tools and monitoring across our network to help protect your services from malware and attacks. No system can be completely secure, so you are also responsible for protecting your own account, applications, and data, including using strong passwords and keeping your software up to date.
If we find malware, a compromised account, or activity that puts other customers or our network at risk, we may take action to contain it. This can include limiting or suspending the affected service until the issue is fixed.
7. Billing, Renewals, and Taxes
Services are billed in advance for the billing term you choose. Unless you cancel before the renewal date, your Services renew automatically for the same term at the renewal price shown in your account. Paid SSL certificates and some add ons are billed yearly.
Prices shown on our website do not include taxes. Any taxes that apply will be added to your invoice. If a payment fails or an invoice is left unpaid, we may suspend your Services after [7] days and cancel them after [30] days. Full details on payments, refunds, and cancellations are in our Refund and Billing Policy.
8. Domain Names
Domain names are registered through our accredited registrar partner and are subject to the rules of the registrar, the domain registry, and ICANN. You are the registrant of any domain you register with us, and you are responsible for making sure the contact details on it are accurate.
Domain privacy and DNS management are included with domains registered through us, where the domain extension allows it. Domains must be renewed before they expire. If a domain expires, it may be suspended, charged a redemption fee, or become available for someone else to register.
9. SSL Certificates
Free SSL certificates are included on managed plans. Paid SSL certificates are issued by third party certificate authorities, and issuing one depends on you passing their validation checks. We install the certificates you buy from us. The certificate authority, not KonectHosting, is responsible for the warranty that comes with a paid certificate.
10. Migrations
Incoming migrations are free on all hosting plans. We will take care to move your website and data safely, but you should keep a full copy of everything before a migration starts. We are not responsible for issues caused by incompatible software, custom setups, or data that was already damaged at your previous host.
11. Fair Use of Resources
Each plan comes with the resources listed on its product page. On shared plans, servers are shared with other customers, so no single account may use resources in a way that slows down or harms others. If your usage affects the server, we will contact you and help you find a better fit, such as an upgrade. In urgent cases, we may limit usage first and contact you right after.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. That policy explains what is not allowed on our network, such as spam, malware, illegal content, and abuse of other systems.
You are also responsible for the actions of anyone you allow to use your Services, including your own customers and website visitors.
13. Reseller Accounts
If you join the KonectHosting reseller program, these extra terms apply to your reseller account.
Selling Under Your Own Brand
You may resell our Services under your own brand and set your own prices. You may not claim to be KonectHosting, or suggest that your clients have a direct agreement with us.
Your Clients Are Your Responsibility
Your clients do not have a direct agreement with KonectHosting. You are responsible for their billing, support, and their use of the Services, and you must make sure they follow these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy. Your own terms with your clients must be at least as strict as ours.
Support for Reseller Clients
You provide first line support to your clients. Our team supports you, and we will only contact your clients directly if there is an urgent security, legal, or abuse issue.
Billing
You pay KonectHosting for all Services on your reseller account, whether or not your clients have paid you. Reseller pricing and any discounts are shown in your reseller account.
If a Reseller Account Closes
If your reseller account is suspended or cancelled, your client accounts are affected too. Before closing your account, give your clients reasonable notice so they can back up or move their data. We may, but do not have to, offer your clients the option to move to a direct KonectHosting account.
14. Service Availability
We aim for 99.999% uptime across our network. This is a target, not a guarantee. Planned maintenance, emergency work, and events outside our control can affect availability. Our Server Maintenance Policy explains how maintenance works and how uptime service credits are handled if we fall short.
15. Suspension and Cancellation
If You Cancel
You can cancel any Service at any time from your account or by contacting our billing team. Unless the Refund and Billing Policy says otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals, and the Service stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If We Suspend or Cancel
We may suspend or cancel Services if you break the Agreement, do not pay, put our network or other customers at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where possible, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Some serious issues, such as illegal content or an active attack, may require us to act immediately.
After a Service is cancelled, its data may be permanently deleted after [14] days. Please download anything you want to keep before cancelling.
16. Third Party Software and Services
Some Services include or connect to software and services from other companies, such as control panels, applications, and certificate authorities. Their own terms may also apply, and we are not responsible for how third party products work or for changes their providers make.
17. Intellectual Property
The KonectHosting name, logo, website, and the software and materials we provide belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the Services. Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of our intellectual property, and nothing gives us ownership of yours.
18. Privacy
We take the privacy of your information seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
19. Disclaimer
We work hard to keep the Services fast, secure, and reliable, but they are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not make any promises that are not written in the Agreement, including promises that the Services will be uninterrupted, error free, or suited to a particular purpose.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, KonectHosting is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or damage to reputation, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected Service in the [12] months before the claim.
21. Indemnification
You agree to protect KonectHosting, its parent company, and their team members from claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that come from Your Content, your use of the Services, your customers, or your breach of the Agreement.
22. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Washington, D.C., and you agree to their jurisdiction. Before starting any formal claim, we both agree to first try to resolve the issue in good faith by contacting each other.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make an important change, we will let you know by email or through your account at least [30] days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were last updated. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
24. General
The Agreement is the full agreement between you and KonectHosting for the Services. If any part of it is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of the Agreement right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or the Agreement without our written consent. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or network outages, or government action.
